The arts have a tremendous potential to transform the world of politics and geopolitics. Think of the novel Uncle Tom's Cabin or Picasso's Guernica. But how can storytelling help create positive change at a time of fake news and outlandish presidential tweets?
John Feffer is a playwright, performer, novelist, and foreign policy expert whose just-published dystopian novel, Splinterlands, anticipated the election of Donald Trump. He will discuss the urgency of storytelling at the current moment with examples from his novel and his performances.
