Hofstra Globalization Day imageThe Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) is an initiative by faculty of Hofstra University committed to promoting student involvement in community and public life. Since its inception, the CCE has organized dozens of on-campus events, including forums, conferences, debates, workshops, exhibitions, cultural gatherings and performances around several important themes including nonviolence, social justice and sustainability, the democratic process, and globalization. The annual Globalizations Days have become a hallmark daylong event for CCE. Globalization Day 2016, will again feature IPS Fellow Phyllis Bennis in a full day of panels, screenings and performances focusing on how global conflict, migration, environment and food security continue to both divide and unite the world. This year Phyllis will be part of:
