cartoonJoin Vineeta Anand, the AFL-CIO investment office's chief research analyst, and Peter MacLeod, the founding director of the Toronto-based WagemarkFoundation, for a look at the cutting-edge initiatives that are shoving CEO-worker pay gaps onto our global political center stage.

The AFL-CIO has helped lead the charge for federal regulations expected to be finalized this year that require U.S. corporations to annually disclose the ratio between their CEO and median worker pay. MacLeod is guiding a promising new effort that's certifying enterprises that pay responsible and sustainable wages. To gain this certification, enterprises must pay their top executive no more than eight times their lowest-paid workers.

Sarah Anderson, Global Economy Director at the Institute for Policy Studies, will moderate a discussion about how to build on these promising initiatives to narrow the economic divide. Anderson is the lead author of the Institute's annual Executive Excess studies.
