The Middle East is reeling after a weekend of renewed violence. In Afghanistan, the death toll after a bomb attack targeting a girl’s school in the capital city of Kabul has now risen to at least 85.

Meanwhile in Israel, 600 Palestinians have been injured since Friday in an ongoing crackdown by Israeli police centering on the alAqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Palestinians are also being forcefully evicted from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah, which has led to even more violence in Jerusalem.

To discuss all of this, Phyllis Bennis, director of the New Internationalism Project at the Institute for Policy Studies, joined Black News Channel’s The World Tonight.
