DOMESTIC AWARDEE

The Awood Center advocates for Black, immigrant and refugee Muslim workers based in Minneapolis/St. Paul who are fighting for better working conditions for all. With the help of Awood Center, Minneapolis Amazon workers is the first and only group of workers to win direct concessions from Amazon.

INTERNATIONAL AWARDEE

The Association of Brazil’s Indigenous Peoples (APIB) is the organizer of the Free Land Settlement, an annual mobilization of thousands of Indigenous peoples in Brazil’s capital to demand justice. The coalition also supports regional and local Indigenous peoples’ movements and struggles, denouncing and constantly pressuring the Brazilian government to respect the Constitution and Indigenous rights.

Guest speakers will include Representative Pramila Jayapal and Representative Ilhan Omar, with entertainment by Nigerian Hip-Hop/R&B artist MannyWellz.
