Caleb Crowder is a Media Relations Associate at the Institute for Policy Studies. He handles outreach for OtherWords, media monitoring, and communications for IPS. He helps build out pitching strategies for all OtherWords content, and oversees relationship building with editorial contacts across the country. Caleb is also a community organizer in Los Angeles where he works with coalitions on abolition / alternatives to incarceration, housing justice and tenants’ rights, transit equity, and environmental justice, to name a few. He has worked as an organizer and advisor to various electoral campaigns in Los Angeles, co-founded a community organizing non-profit, Ground Game LA, and served as field organizer for the Everyone In campaign and LA County’s Measure J.
