Can Congress Use NDAA To Stop War With Iran?
The House, with Republic support, just passed an amendment to the $733 NDAA bill which would require Congressional approval for any war with Iran.

The House just passed a $733 National Defense Authorization Act bill. While that figure is more than excessive, there was at least one positive takeaway. With support from the Republican members of the House, Democrats successfully amended the original NDAA to include a provision requiring Congressional approval for any war with Iran.
Khury Petersen-Smith, the Michael Ratner Middle East Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, joined Rising up with Sonali to discuss the NDAA the impact this amendment will have on thwarting another forever war.
