Following recent attacks on Saudi Arabian oil facilities, fears of direct military intervention on the part of the U.S. were mounting. As of now, it appears a few hundred U.S. troops will accompany a shipment of weapons and hardware to aid the Saudi military.

Phyllis Bennis, director of the New Internationalism Project at the Institute for Policy Studies, joined Al Jazeera to discuss the U.S. decision to bolster Saudi Arabia’s defense capabilities and to arm Saudi Arabia with more weapons, even as Yemeni civilians continue to be killed by Saudi attacks.
