After more than 12,000 homes were destroyed in the war along with another 100,000 damaged, Israel’s economic siege means construction materials have yet to reach areas most severely impacted, despite pledges of aid totaling more than $5 billion from the international community. Phyllis Bennis joins Al Jazeera English to discuss who else has contributed to the ongoing humanitarian crisis:
