Violeta Curiel is a Mexican-American, first-generation graduate from Syracuse University with a dual B.A. in International Relations and Policy Studies. As part of the development team at the Institute for Policy Studies, she will plan strategic events and enhance individual donor relations.

Prior to IPS, Violeta worked in immigration law where she helped several foreign nationals make their dreams a reality. After graduating in December 2015, she joined the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), an organization focused on providing quality educational and professional opportunities for Hispanic students.

Violeta is passionate about human rights and immigration law and hopes to continue to open doors for her fellow Latinx community.
