Dr. Stephen A. Quick is a former Chief Risk officer at Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He has also served as a Director of Office of Evaluation & Oversight at Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). From 1993 to 2000, Dr. Quick served as Manager – Strategic Planning and Budget at the Inter-American Development Bank. He served as Advisor to the President on Hemispheric Affairs. Before joining Inter-American Development Bank, he served as the Executive Director and Chief Economist for the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress, Chief Economist for the Senate Democratic Policy Committee, and a Senior Economist for the House Banking Committee. Before joining the Congress, he taught at the university level and worked as a private Consultant. He has worked primarily in the areas of international macroeconomics, trade, debt, and finance. He served as a Director of Inter-American Development Bank. Dr. Quick holds a Doctorate degree from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Antioch College.
