Ashley Sheffield is the Executive Assistant for both the Executive Director, Tope Folarin, and the Deputy Director, Kathleen Gaspard. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Political Science and minors in International Studies and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Additionally, she received her Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Management from the University of Louisiana Monroe.

In her previous experience, Ashley served as the Louisiana Campus Organizer for Feminist Majority Foundation, connecting progressive student groups across the state with each other and non-profit partners, and orchestrating reproductive justice campaigns. Upon graduation she became a National Campus Organizer and co-directed two state-wide Get Out The Vote campaigns for the 2020 elections.

Ashley is an intersectional feminist activist who strives to root progressive movements within an economic justice framework. In her free time she enjoys visiting art museums in D.C., organizing in her community, reading feminist literature, and making the most of living in a walkable city!
