Please join us to hear local black organizers discuss the current political moment and the roles that white folks committed to and engaged in racial justice organizing can play. Talk about what white anti-racism looks like in the time of Ferguson and share skills about how to engage with other white people.
This event will provide space for people engaged in ongoing racial justice transformation to connect with each other. Attend and get tangible tools to take action and move others to action, and find opportunities to get involved in DC area movements. This event will focus on white people taking anti-racist action, but is open to everyone (there will be a break-out group for non-black POC).
For accessibility requests (including language interpretation and childcare) please contact darakshan@washingtonpeacecenter or 202-234-2000 by March 5. Light refreshments served. Closest Metro is Dupont Circle. Organized by the Washington Peace Center.
See other ways to support ongoing black organizing as a white ally!
