For a half century, IPS Fellow Saul Landau has contributed much of his life’s work to giving voice for and a lens to the struggle of Cuban and many other peoples around the globe.
In recent years, Saul has been pouring energy into the cause of winning the release of the Cuban 5, men imprisoned by the U.S. government for nonviolently trying to combat terrorism against Cuba. This was the subject of Saul’s film, Will The Real Terrorist Please Stand Up.
On the 15th anniversary of the unjust imprisonment of the Cuban 5, the Institute for Policy Studies joins with the International Committee for the Freedom of the Cuban 5 at the White House for a vigil to demand that President Obama immediately release Gerardo, Ramón, Antonio and Fernando, the four remaining imprisoned heroes.
