Stop the War Coalition invites writer, activist, and IPS expert Phyllis Bennis and renowned film-maker Amir Amirani to discuss the prospects for U.S. foreign policy and the U.S. war agenda in light of the astonishing presidential primaries.

Prospects for the U.S. election are worrying for those who stand for peace. The two leading candidates (Trump and Clinton) both have hawkish tendencies. Donald Trump’s campaign has been marked by bigotry and xenophobia, while Hillary Clinton has been central to the continuation of the “War on Terror.”

Bennis has shared her views on what foreign policy strategies for different presidential candidates might look like if they’re elected, including in recent interviews with MSNBC and The Real News Network regarding Donald Trump.
