The European Union is currently finalizing the details of its European Green Deal, an effort to transform the 27-nation bloc into a low-carbon economy. The EU aspires to achieve net-zero carbon emissions and eliminate pollution by 2050 while also creating new jobs in a new clean-energy economy.
