Public School Reform: The New Inequality in Education
June 12, 2013 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Junius Williams, Director of the Abbott Leadership Institute at Rutgers University Newark, is a noted attorney, educator, musician and community advocate. In the city of Newark, Williams has served as the Director of Community Development and the Model Cities Program. As advocate, planner, administrator and developer, he is responsible for the construction of more than 2000 units of housing in Newark.
Join us for a brown-bag event, as Williams will lead a discussion on school reform based on his experience of resource deprivation and privatization of schools in Newark. Public school reform, Williams asserts, “is more than just a civil rights issue. It is a blueprint for control of resources in urban communities”.
