Prospects for Ending Conflicts in the Middle East
February 14 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
The International Scene Lecture Series of Hofstra University presents “Prospects for Ending Conflicts in the Middle East,” featuring Phyllis Bennis, director of the New Internationalism project at the Institute for Policy Studies.
The talk will be from 12:50-2:10 pm in the Guthart Cultural Center Theater, Axinn Library, First Floor, South Campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
“Phyllis Bennis is an exceptional speakers, writer, and activist who will surely challenge us to consider how issues of conflict, global climate change, and social justice converge in the modern world,” said Professor Martin Melkonian, adjunct associate professor of economics and series co-director.
The International Scene Lecture Series is sponsored by Hofstra University’s Departments of Economics, History, and Sociology, in cooperation with Hofstra’s Center for Civic Engagement, Institute for Peace Studies, Long Island Teachers for Human Rights, Honors College, Hofstra Cultural Center; Peace Action Matters at Hofstra, and the Long Island Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives.
