Organizing for Care

June 15, 2016

caring-across-generationsOrganizing for Care will bring elected officials, policy experts, and grassroots advocates together to discuss the current landscape and opportunities for long-term care in the US.

IPS’s Josh Hoxie will discuss how some states are getting a head start in advancing how long-term care is delivered – and financed – to increase access for consumers, better support families, and strengthen the caregiving workforce. This panel will highlight the policy and advocacy work driving these important structural innovations.

Other panels will feature state and local policymakers working to expand the availability and affordability of long-term care and increase protections for the care workforce. We’ll discuss the intersection of caregiving with gender, race, and sexual orientation. And we’ll lift up opportunities, solutions, and our collective work to transform the long-term care system.

Please RSVP for this event here.
