Labor Organizing and the Left in Colombia During Dynamic Times

August 19, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

SintracihobiEduviges Campo and Caridad Vasquez are national officers with SINTRACIHOBI the union of in-home childcare providers, who won a 12 day national strike this April. They will talk about their struggles as women to build a union over the last 30 years, thoughts on Colombian labor and the left, and their view of the war and the recently signed peace accords.

We will start at noon and a light lunch will be provided. We know some folks will need to leave at 1, but there will also be time for more questions and intimate conversation until 1:30 or 1:45 for those who want to stick around.

Please register by August 18, 2016.
