Implications for Syria, ISIS & the Middle East from Trump’s US

February 8, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 6:00 pm

Syria Panel: Forceful Diplomacy vs. Military Force

Syria Panel: Forceful Diplomacy vs. Military ForceWith the many distracting issues we’ve all had to pay attention to in this alarming post-election period, we are very fortunate that someone steeped in the complexities of the Middle East will be in Albany NY to bring a full update on the region, speaking in the Capital District. Phyllis Bennis, author of Understanding ISIS & the New Global War on Terror: A Primer, will speak that evening on ISIS, Syria & the US in the Middle East at Women Against War’s Annual Gathering.

Bennis will also speak, on the same topic, on three area campuses on February 8th. All talks are open to the public:

UAlbany: 10:30 AM. Campus Center 375, Uptown Campus, Albany
Sage College: 1 PM. Bush Memorial, Troy Campus
Siena College: 4 PM, Boland Room in the Fr. Ben Kuhn House, Loudonville

US foreign policy and refugee policy are serious issues, impacting many lives beyond our own. Don’t miss an opportunity to understand more fully what we will need to know about the US in the Middle East as we go into the Trump era.
