How do we support diplomacy in Ukraine? Part 2

May 2, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Dynamics in the Russia-Ukraine war continue shifting rapidly as Russia’s illegal invasion redirects its focus on already-devastated regions.

While global civil society, social movements, and activists around the world grapple with how to help end the war, many governments—starting with the U.S., NATO countries, and others—are using this as a moment to build up their armies and heighten their own militarization. Do these trends threaten to prolong the crisis? How will they affect a post-war Europe?

This is a crucial time to push diplomacy and human needs, not more militarism.

After a fascinating first discussion, we still have many unanswered questions—and new questions as events unfold. Join our panel of foreign policy experts for a second round of taking your questions on how a progressive, diplomatic response to the Ukraine crisis is not only possible, but is the only option that will lead to greater safety for Ukraine and the world.
