IPS joins Friends of the Congo, and Impact Hub DC for an exciting evening of learning and organizing in the name of fueling the movements for justice, peace, and equity at home and in the Congo. The drive for endless profit fuels both mass displacement in DC and mass atrocities in the Congo, so let’s connect the dots and build our power to bring about a vision that values people, our self-determination, and stewardship of the land.

In celebration of Congo week, we’ll learn about the US’s role in perpetuating violence that has killed 6 million people so far, in the name of resource extraction. We’ll learn about youth-led movements on the African continent, and what we can do to bring meaningful change to the Congo. It will be hosted by Friends of the Congo.
