You are invited to hear Nigerian-American DC-based Prize-Winning Writer and IPS Board Chair, Tope Folarin talk about his novel A Particular Kind of Black Man and its background in his own experience. Tope will be introduced by James Early, retired Smithsonian Institute Executive and IPS Trustee and former Board Chair.
Tope, winner of the Caine Prize for African Writing, was recently named to the Africa39 list of most promising African writers under 40. He is also Board Chair at the Institute for Policy Studies. After Morehouse College, he earned two M.A.s as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford.
