2017 Neighborhood Institute

April 29, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

$20 – $40

Each year, Strong City Baltimore puts on the Neighborhood Institute– a daylong event of workshops that provides over 300 community residents, neighborhood leaders, and community development professionals with the training and tools they need to tackle challenges big and small. The theme for our 10th Annual Institute is “Strong Roots, Radical Growth: Honoring the Past, Building for the Future.”

Neighborhood Institute hosts over 35 workshops taught by community leaders, activists, and non-profit professionals for community leaders, activists, and non-profit professionals. Workshops range from skill building for community leaders, building organizational capacity, to promoting economic development.

This year from 9:40 am to 10:40 am, don’t miss the workshop, “Owning Your Economy: Community Wealth Building Strategy and Tactics,” led by IPS Director of our New Economy Maryland project, David Hart.
