You are invited to a talk with award-winning Venezuelan journalist Ernesto Villegas Poljak as he discusses his new book, Abril Golpe Adentro (Inside the April Coup). Mr. Poljak is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the daily newspaper Ciudad Caracas and has also written for El Nuevo Pais, Economia Hoy, El Universal, Ultimas Noticias, and others. Mr. Poljak will discuss the state of news media in Venezuela today and give first hand account of the role played by private news outlets during the April 2002 coup d’etat in Venezuela.

Come to IPS for a rare opportunity to hear directly from and discuss with Miguel Rodriguez, Venezuela’s Viceminister of Environmental Conservation, these and other projects and what role the Chavez government is playing in them.
